Together with the Delftse Pauw, Royal Delft is one of the two largest surviving earthenware potteries dating from the seventeenth century. In this factory Delft blue pottery is painted by hand according to centuries-old traditions. A number of sectile tableaus can be viewed close up. At the entrance to the museum stands the fourth porcelain street lamp from Jingdezhen.
